Western Reef Egret

There are a LOT of cool birds around the hotel grounds. My Birds of the Middle East field guide has not arrived yet so I can't be sure if these guys are properly identified. I think this is a Western Reef Egret. It was standing in the Arabian Gulf just offshore at low tide.

Greetings

Greetings from the desert. Bridget and Ryan are living and working in the far western region of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). We will post some thoughts, rants and photos on this blog. Hope you enjoy.
